About Our Location
Located between two small fishing villages (Chunox and Copper Bank) and one of the oldest and most important Maya Ruins (Cerros) – all less than 2 miles in either direction, we are also just 12 miles by boat or 22 miles by car from Chetumal, Mexico; the capital of the state of Quintana Roo. Chetumal is a bustling city with a population of nearly 200,000 in which modern-day shopping and medical facilities abound. There are two daily flights into/out of Chetumal from Mexico City, and a weekly flight to/from Miami making it easily accessible to those with tight schedules. Chetumal is also just a 4 ½ hr drive to/from Cancun and Playa del Carmen (Cozumel) for those wanting a faster pace. For those wanting the same but preferring to stay in Belize there are four 20 min flights, or a 2 hr boat ride, every day from our neighboring town (Corozal) to the popular tourist island destination San Pedro.
